EU Ratifies Fourth Package Of Sanctions Against belarusian Regime

It has affected 78 individuals and 8 legal entities.

The EU approved the fourth package of sanctions against 78 individuals and 8 legal entities in Belarus. The EU explains the decision to introduce the fourth package of sanctions by the escalation of serious human rights violations in Belarus, pressure on civil society, the opposition and journalists.

Seven individuals and one legal entity are included in the sanctions list in connection with the forced and landing of a Ryanair aircraft in Minsk. As tut.by writes, this is stated in the official statement of the European Council.

The EU restrictive measures against Belarus now apply to a total of 166 individuals and 15 legal entities. Their assets will be frozen, and EU citizens and companies are prohibited from providing them with funds. Individuals are also prohibited from entering the EU.
