Surgeries are underway, though it's a serious disruption.

Subscribers of the White Coats report unbearable heat in Belarusian hospitals:

"I would like to raise one critical topic - the microclimate in the premises of health care facilities, and more specifically the temperature conditions.

According to Decree 73 of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus from 2017, the temperature in operating rooms, post-anaesthesia care unit, and intensive care and anaesthesia department should be +21-24.

Meanwhile, the temperature in the Vitsebsk Emergency Hospital operating room is +29, in the intensive care unit and the post-anaesthesia care unit is +30. The air conditioners do not work. The old-timers say they haven't worked since the opening. However, there are scheduled operations, although it is a violation of the order of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus.

The situation is the same in the cold period - the temperature in the operating rooms is lower than normal, but the operations are performed. I would like to clarify, what are the consequences of fresh after-surgery sweat wounds? Do you believe that medical professionals should have the heat strokes or it's better to the repair of air conditioners?"
