That is Satyagraha!

The ingenuity of Belarusians, shown during the mass protests of 2020, has not disappeared anywhere.

Recently my foreign-speaking friends asked me:

- What is going on out there in your country? What progressions? Is it true that the number of political prisoners has risen above a thousand? Oh, my God, this is terrible! Are all screws already tightened? We heard that people continue to be fired for political reasons. In addition, Russian troops entered - just a nightmare!

“It's all right and wrong,” I gave the answer to my friends. - Firstly, there have been several thousand political prisoners for a long time. You are informed only about a part of the prisoners of conscience, we know that there are many more of them. We also know that some of them will never be “recognized” as political prisoners, but this does not stop them from being our heroes.

Yes, apprehensions are still going on and the sentences are heavy...

We talked with friends about how we can help Belarusians from abroad, what is important and what is minor.

Bad things, of course.

However, here is what I thought after this conversation:

Lukashenka has been trying to show himself as a winner for a month, but he looks like an increasingly miserable loser.

They take his short-breathing, bloated body all over the country, turn on the “winner” button on the loudspeaker, and he is talking a lot about enemies, who are growing in number.

About conspiracies, saboteurs, pensioners-murderers, female commandos, deadly athletes, children terrorists, disabled bombers, a bunch of psycho-oppositionists who, they are already becoming hundreds of thousands in his fears every other word.

And what plans to eliminate him are natured by the adversarial and subtle Lithuania, Poland and Ukraine, the only thing to do is to evade!

Lukashenka is trying to hide from this fear behind new repressions after frightening himself once again. But the bone-chilling terror does not let him go, an oppositionist-reaper is seen everywhere.

The dictator does nothing else, only saving himself with the help of a “blue-fingered” grip.

He came up with the changes in his constitution again. It is not a constitution but a castrated parody of a law. To change in such a way that at least in writing nothing will threaten his power. To launch the "referendum", his favorite toy, for sure by this trick. It is even safer than his own "elections". Vote tabulations are not necessary in this case, and it has approximately the same value as his “victories” in hockey.

The dictator came up with all this and was immediately frightened that it would not work out, and appointed all the action after the Kremlin troops entered Belarus, to be sure. Just like July 1940. "Elections" in the Baltic States after the entry of Soviet troops.

In general, there is no way to plaster over your fear and portray yourself as a winner.

The Belarusians are the reason for this constant horror.

They are everywhere, unlike the punishers.

They did not disappear anywhere, and they are not going to disappear.

It is he, who will disappear, everyone understands this, and this makes him completely ill.

Moreover, the Belarusians demonstrated in 2020 one simple thing: it turned out that everyone in Belarus knows what “Satyagraha” means, even those who have never heard this word.

"Satyagraha" in translation from the Gujarati language is "persistence in achieving the truth." This is the worldview, theory, philosophy of non-violence developed by Mahatma Gandhi. Satyagraha led India to independence.

The tactics of nonviolent struggle is a component of this diversified doctrine, and it is important for us.

Satyagraha does not indicate simple passiveness or humbleness at all, the last considered to be a show of cowardice by Gandhi. On the contrary, nonviolent resistance is fearlessness. “Non-violence is the weapon of the strong,” said Gandhi.

Satyagraha is also the struggle of each person, the choice of each.

The Belarusians did not only demonstrate their fearlessness, courage, adherence to principles in 2020, they found the brightest forms of nonviolent resistance, and enriched world theory and practice of peaceful fight for freedom.

The crazed dictator managed to stifle mass protests, unleashing real terror in the country, but this only increased the degree of hatred for the impostor, which is waiting for its release.

Satyagraha can be individual, collective and large scale.

Today is the time for an individual Satyagraha.

The basic principle of nonviolent resistance under the dictatorship is to stop any collaborations with the authorities, no aid for them, and no any encouragement of their activity or support of their narratives.

Individual Satyagraha, as Gandhi noted, exalts a person, and touches the hearts of other people.

There are many forms of individual Satyagraha: social ostracism in relation to punishers, refusal of honors, refusal to participate in ideological shows, consumer boycott, refusal of the official press, all kinds of strikes and absenteeism “due to illness”, the boycott of church collaborators, a complete personal rejection of cooperation, distribution of agents' personal data, production of visual signs of protest, support for political prisoners, solidarity.

In other words, Satyagraha is an act of civil disobedience.

What is the reason to talk about the forms?

The ingenuity of the Belarusians, shown during the mass protests of 2020, has not disappeared, and I am sure that today Belarusians, in addition to Gene Sharp's 198 ways of nonviolent resistance, will name just as many, if not more. Not just name, but also show in practice.

So that:

- Who is your love?

- I love Belarus!

- That is Satyagraha!
