Lukashenka's Servicemen Preparing To Fight On Bicycles?

The Belarusian military plant has produced an electric bike for the police and the army.

One of the flagships of the Belarusian military-industrial complex “2566 Plant for the repair of radio-electronic weapons” developed and produced an electric bicycle “for military-civilian purposes”. The press-center of the Gosvoenprom of Belarus spoke about the novelty of Belarusian engineers.

The Filin-1 electric bike is intended for “carrying out patrol service in the sanatorium-resort area with extended patrol routes”.

It boasts not only “original design and ergonomics”, but also a roomy trunk. The package of the basic version also includes a flasher, a loudspeaker, a radio mount on the steering wheel, as well as a first aid kit and a bottle of water.

“The drive is carried out from a motor-wheel with a planetary gearbox with a power of 1 kW, which allows you to reach a maximum speed of up to 40 km/h. An extended-capacity battery ensures the movement of an electric bicycle over rough terrain on a single charge for a distance of at least 90 km,” the press-center of Gosvoenprom reported.

The department also added that the electric bike can be used not only in the service, but also for “long cycling excursions to nature, for fishing and hunting trips”.
