British Intelligence: Defeated Russian Tank Army To Hold Defenses Near Svatove

It was intended to defend Moscow.

The British Defence Ministry said on Twitter that the defence of the occupied town of Svatove in Luhansk Oblast will be held by the defeated Russian tank army. It was meant to defend Moscow.

Units of Russia's 1st Guards Tank Army (1 GTA) are deployed along the defense line in the area.

Intelligence writes that the tank army suffered losses when it had to retreat from Kharkiv Oblast in September 2022. It may now have been reinforced by reservists.

"The efficiency of defensive operations of 1 GTA and other formations will largely depend on the level of support of reserve positions," British Intelligence believes.

In an interview with Charter97.org, Oleksandr Kovalenko, a military observer for the Information Resistance group, said that the Ukrainian Armed Forces were surrounding Kremenna from the north and south.
