"Neighbours Heard Explosion, Paintings Fell Off Walls Here"

Here's what the locals say about the Russian plane that crashed near Luninets.

Yesterday around 9 p.m., residents of Luninets heard a strong explosion and saw a bright flash. According to preliminary information, a plane might have crashed near the village of Kazhan-Haradok.

What do the locals say?

According to residents of Kazhan-Haradok, an explosion was heard around 9.30pm.

"There came policemen and fire trucks, somewhere in the field it fell. I don't know exactly what's there," a local resident, a pensioner, told Nasha Niva .

Another woman also says something fell on the field.

"I don't know what it was. Pictures fell from the walls here, too. Neighbours say they heard an explosion, and I heard a clap. I don't know what's out there now, I haven't seen it myself. You can't see the field from us, the field is behind the forest. I could hear a helicopter circling. One fire brigade and two ambulances drove there," a woman said.

Another interlocutor of "Nasha Niva", who lives in Luninets district, has information that a Russian plane fell down, it was shot down by the Ukrainians and was trying to reach Luninets airfield.

According to his information, the pilots ejected and survived, they were found.
