"Russian Soldiers Could Received Year Dose Of Radiation At Chernobyl"

Occupiers could have spread particles of radiation further.

The head of Ukraine's State Agency for Exclusion Zone Management Yevgeny Kramarenko said that the Russian Armed Forces could receive an annual dose of radiation from staying in the Red Forest of the CEZ, writes "Focus".

After the explosion at the nuclear power plant, the main ball of radionuclides landed on the ground, and in 30 years it went 30-40 cm under it. Russian soldiers could therefore breach the natural protective barrier.

"At the most dangerous temporary radioactive waste disposal site in the so-called Red Forest, the radiation background is such that a person who does not move there for 24 hours would receive an annual dose of radiation," said Kramarenko.

And if you start digging up the soil, the radiation level will increase several times more. He also assumes that the occupiers have outdated dosimeters, which are more suitable for "psychological peace of mind" and that they have monitoring devices. In reality, such equipment is unlikely to work. In addition, Kramerenko suggests that the servicemen did not receive proper instruction on what to do in such a situation.

Moreover, the occupiers could spread particles of radiation further into the territory. The Chernobyl Exclusion Zone was used by the enemy as a transit zone for transferring their troops to Belarus. It is stated that 10,000 pieces of equipment have passed through it. And there were 50 pieces of equipment and about 1,000 personnel on the territory of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant.

The number of Russian Armed Forces soldiers in the forest and in the trenches has not been established.
