Lithuanian Interior Ministry: Attack By Migrants From Belarus Has Not Ended

Vilnius announced that a new route of illegal migration has been formed through Russia.

Therefore, the attack by migrants from Belarus has not ended, writes Delfi.

Representative of the Lithuanian Ministry of Internal Affairs Darius Domarkas says that “people arrive in Moscow, and since access to Belarus is not limited, they arrive in Belarus.” And then “representatives of the Belarusian regime send them to the European Union.”

The Lithuanian security forces detect illegal immigrants not only from the countries of the Middle East, even Cubans come from Belarus. “We have such data that there are flights to Moscow not only from the Middle East, for example, from Cuba, and then by train to Belarus, and from Belarus to the European Union,” says Domarkas.

A new trend, when migrants traveled to Belarus through Russia, was noticed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Lithuania back in March.

This year, the Lithuanian border guards turned 1,621 foreigners who tried to cross the border illegally back to Belarus. There have been no attempts to cross the border since Friday. The representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Lithuania urges not to calm down, and not to lose vigilance.

The West has blamed the migration crisis on the borders of the EU countries on the authorities of Belarus. Hundreds of migrants went to Lithuania in the summer of 2021, and to Poland in the autumn. Polish border guards are recording attempts to cross the border every day.
