Defendant In "Autukhovich Case" Uladzimir Hundar Is On Dry Hunger Strike In Solitary Confinement

The political prisoner's wife has reported on his condition.

The defendant in the "Autukhovich case" Uladzimir Hundar is on a dry hunger strike in a solitary confinement cell. He was in his underwear, chained to the cage at the trial.

"Valodzia is on a dry hunger strike. I wrote him a letter asking him not to do so, but he conveyed his gratitude to everyone for their support, apologized and confirmed that he would continue the hunger strike," his wife Alena Hundar told BPN.

According to her, when the lawyer met her husband, he was feeling all right, but the dry hunger strike is very dangerous for him: he needs to take regular medication because of his hypertension, which is impossible without water.

Hundar said that according to some reports her husband had been placed in a punishment cell for 10 days, according to others - until July 11.

Uladzimir Hundar went on hunger strike to protest against the absence of response from the court to his demands and forced undressing before the trial.
