Ivan Yakovyna: Only Thing Putin Can Do Is To Sign Capitulation
IVAN YAKOVYNA

This is the only way out for the dictator.

International observer Ivan Yakovyna on Radio NV said that thanks to the supply of German Leopard tanks to Ukraine, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin can only do one thing — sign a surrender.

“In the near future, Ukraine will receive Leopard 2s, that's what will change. And under these conditions, Russia will have even fewer opportunities for success. The only sensible thing to advise Vladimir Putin now is to simply give up and sign a surrender. This is the only thing that could save his life,” Yakovyna said.

At the same time, he noted that Putin is unlikely to agree to this, because it will create internal political problems for him.

On January 25, Germany, after long hesitation, approved the transfer of 14 Leopard 2 tanks to Ukraine and their re-export from partner countries. On the same day, the United States announced that it was sending 31 Abrams tanks to the front.

At the moment, deliveries of 73 tanks to Ukraine have been confirmed.

Also earlier, President Volodymyr Zelensky confirmed that Ukraine should receive 90 modernized T-72s. The transfer of another 30 T-72s has not been officially confirmed.

Another 50 Leopard 2s, according to the data not yet confirmed, can be jointly supplied to Ukraine by Portugal, Norway, the Netherlands, Finland and Denmark. Also, according to estimates, from 20 to 50 Leopard 2s can be delivered to Ukraine by Spain, and Sweden is deciding on the supply of an as yet unnamed number of Stridsvag 122 tanks, which is a local analogue of the Leopard 2.

In addition, the issue of deliveries of an as yet unnamed number of Leclerc tanks from France is being decided.
