Satellite Images Of Damaged Russian Askold Ship In Kerch Emerge

The consequences of a strike against the invaders are clearly visible from space.

Images by Planet Labs show the strike site in the city of Kerch in temporarily occupied Crimea, as well as a Russian military vessel that also appears damaged.

Radio Liberty reports this.

“According to my information, on November 4, at the time of the explosions, there was only one ship in Kerch capable of carrying Caliber class missiles, namely the Askold. I think that this ship, as we see, was docked, they were finishing the work, because it should have been ready by December,” Ukrainian Navy reserve Captain First Rank Andriy Ryzhenko said.

Also, Ryzhenko added that the upper part of the Askold is noticeably damaged, but it remains afloat for now.

Askold

Askold is a small missile ship of the 22800 Karakurt type. It is capable of carrying up to 8 Caliber missiles. The defeat of such a ship, as Ryzhenko explained, is important for the security of Ukraine.

Strike on Kerch

Yesterday, November 4, the Ukrainian forces attacked the sea and port facilities at the Zaliv shipyard, which is located in Kerch. After some time, information about the defeat was confirmed by the Ukrainian headquarters. According to the Crimean Wind, Ukrainian troops hit the small missile ship Askold.

The Commander of the Ukrainian Air Forces, Lieutenant General Mykola Oleshchuk, also thanked the pilots for the successful strikes.
