AFU Knock Out Russians From Around Summer Cottages In Bakhmut

The Ukrainian military went into a counterattack near the Berkhovske reservoir.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces have knocked the Russians out from the area of summer cottages in Bakhmut, but the situation in the town itself is very difficult. This was reported by a Ukrainian defender of the town with the call sign 'Bakhmut Daemon', reports dialog.ua.

At the same time, analysts from the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) continue to insist that the pace of offensive operations near Bakhmut has significantly slowed down.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff reported that the occupants unsuccessfully attacked the Ukrainian Armed Forces' positions near Orekhove-Vasylivka and Bila Hora. And Russian military bloggers claim that the Russian Armed Forces repulsed counterattacks by the AFU near the Berkhovske reservoir.

The ISW outlined the situation in the Bakhmut direction based on the data available on the net.

The commander of the Ukrainian Ground Forces, Syrsky, admitted that the occupiers had switched from attacking to defending. As of 31 May, the AFU still had control over the southwestern part of Bakhmut.

Prigozhyn said that most of the Wagner Group had already left the town itself. A total of about 90 people remained there, and they are expected to leave Bakhmut by June 5.

The mercenaries will "rest and train" on the territory of the LDPR for about a month, after which they will be ready to move to the front again.
