Minsk prosecutor’s office has not noticed battery on Nyaklyaeu

On August 10 Nyaklyaeu received an official notification from the prosecutor’s office of Minsk.

He had been denied initiation of proceedings on the fact of thuggish assault on him on the day of the presidential election in Belarus.

The whole world witnessed beating of the presidential candidate, and only the prosecutor’s office of Minsk, the city where the crime had been committed, had not noticed that. Why?

“The prosecutor’s office probably didn’t think that fit to initiate a criminal case as it had not happened yet. It is “scheduled” for… December 19, 2011. In any case, this date of “inflicting bodily harm by unidentified persons” is written in the official document signed by the prosecutor, the lawyer of the 1st class, M. Yermakou. And it eloquently demonstrates his agency’s attitude to the investigation of this case. But explanation that I can lodge a complaint against the decision of the prosecutor’s office of Minsk… to the prosecutor of Minsk, looks even more eloquent.

And I am lodging a complaint as long as I have a right for that.”

In his complaint Nyaklyaeu has written that it is known that on December 19, 2011, an assault of bandits is being prepared against him, a presidential candidate. The order to attack him had been given to Interior Minister A. Kulyashou by a presidential candidate performing duties of a president, A. Lukashenka. The commander of a special unit “Almaz” colonel N. Karpyankou is ordered to execute the order. Officers of “Almaz” special unit I. Belyasnikau, A. Barazinets, A. Buhaenka, A. Dzyadkou, P. Latko, I. Safin, V. Sarokin, K. Tsyusheuski, A. Shinkarenka, officers of the special police department U. Yelak, S. Kisel, R. Kulyashou, A. Tsitou, V. Chukhlib, A. Shaparenka, A. Shynkaryk and others are immediately responsible for performing this order.

This operation is a blatant violation of the law, an attempt on the life of Nyaklyaeu. And Nyaklyaeu demanded to bring the criminals to responsibility and initiate a criminal case against them. Otherwise, Nyaklyaeu writes, he would believe the prosecutor is implicated in this crime as well, as he is an official who contributes to concealment of the crime.
