Officials are forbidden to participate in programs of the European Union

Letters are being sent to the Ministries with demands to ignore the activities of the "Dialogue on the modernization of Belarus."

The authorities are making every effort to protect government officials and civil servants from the influence of the West.

And it's not just about the public statements of the authorities of Belarus, which are regarded as a stage of a political bargaining between Belarus and Europe. In fact, an administrative ban on participation of Belarusian officials and civil servants in the activities, undertaken with and by the European Union, has been imposed, reports AFN.

In particular, on July 9 of this year, the Permanent Representative of Belarus to the EU Andrej Yeudachenka stated that Belarus refuses to participate in the program "European dialogue in order to modernize Belarus”.

"We will work only in the framework of those programs that will be jointly developed and agreed. The idea was that the EU will develop this program in close cooperation with us. The second condition was that the program will focus on the governmental bodies of Belarus and, at the same time, on all Belarusian society. None of these conditions was executed by the EU. The Belarusian side not only wasn’t invited to develop these programs, but also state agencies have been included to it on the residual principle", - stated Yeudachenka.

In fact, this statement should be regarded as a result of manipulating officials and civil servants. As an example, one would like to bring a letter of Belarus Ministry of Education, sent to educational institutions in June of this year.

"Please be informed that the European Union attempts to organize various thematic activities in Belarus and abroad in the framework so-called "European dialogue on the modernization of Belarus», with the participation of Belarusian apposition (ed. - spelling preserved), and bring Belarusian governmental bodies and other government organizations to the participation in them", - is said in the letter signed by Deputy Education Minister of Belarus V.Yakzhik (a copy of the document is available on AFN.by).

"Such actions are not consistent with the authorities of the Republic of Belarus. In case of invitations to any event, mentioned in the "European dialogue on the modernization of Belarus", you need to refuse to participate in it and immediately notify the Foreign Ministry", - is ordered to educational institutions.

Most likely, other ministries have sent letters of similar content in their subordinate structures and enterprises.

It should be noted that the leadership of the Republic of Belarus has put government officials and civil servants, as the European structures, before a stark choice - either only representatives of the authorities of Belarus participate in the programs, or, as stated Yeudachenka, "we will not cooperate in such ways". The third option, namely - at least formal participation of the opposition together with the authorities in EU programs for Belarus, at the moment is not even considered.
