Coaches will be appointed as guilty for the failure in Olympic

Lukashenko's assistant Igor Zaichkou named culprits of unsuccessful performance of Belarusian athletes in London.

According to the words of the first Vice-President of the National Olympic Committee and the Lukashenko's assistant on the issues of physical culture, sports and development of tourism, our team showed nothing outstanding. "As for some kinds of sports, our performance in them was a failure. We should not blame the athletes - they struggled, they did their best. We should blame some of our sports functionaries, and some coaches as well. We are going to hold a session soon, summarize the results, and make some personnel amendments" -  BelTA quotes Zaichkou's words.

As for the case of Nadzeya Astapchuk, who was deprived of the Olympic golden medal by the International Olympic Committee, Ihar Zaichkou promised to "fight" for the medal of the Belarusian shot-putter. However, they will conduct an investigation first in order to find out how the prohibited preparation got into the athlete's body.
