Car chase with shooting in Minsk city center

Five road police cars chased a taxi driver, shots were heard.

Again there was a car chase in the capital’s street. This time a road policeman tried to stop a car with taxi stickers. According to a onliner.by reader several shots were made, the taxi driver was detained in one of the courtyards in Pushkin Avenue.

“The cars were moving along Pushkin Avenue from Zhukov Avenue, - Aliaksandr describes what he saw. – It was 4 a.m. on the clock. It was presumably an Audi 100 that was moving in front. And approximately five road police cars with sirens on were following it. At the crossroads of Pushkin Avenue and Prytytskaha Street the taxi driver drove straight ahead towards Matusevicha Street. When the car was moving along the circle, it was noticeable that the front right wheel was pierced. The squeak of the rim against the road could be heard”.

“In the next second there were 3-4 blastings, - the young man added. – I am assuming those were shots. After that the driver of the Audi turned into courtyards. The inspectors followed him. In several minutes the road police cars were coming back. Apparently, they detained the violator”.
