Australia proposed the EU to tighten sanctions against Russia

Australia intends to discuss with the EU representatives new sanctions against Russia.

“Europravda” informs.

Paul Myler, Australian Ambassador to Russia, stated it at the meeting with the students of Higher School of Economics.

“We are really much disturbed by the fact that Russia supported the “elections” (in Donbas). Definitely, we will discuss with our European partners the necessity to impose future sanctions”, stated Myler.

It will be recalled, the European Commission says that sanctions against the Russian Federation remain; they will be neither tightened nor relaxed. However, Jean-Claude Juncker, the head of the European Commission, leaves the possibility of position review.
