Employees in Shchuchyn sent on unpaid leave

Employees worry that they will be paid out wages with products.

- Now we have a four-day work week: Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday are the days off, one of the employees of SPK "Dembrovo", Shchuchyn district, told "Vechernij Hrodno". He asked not to be named. -Those who work with animals (e.g., milkmaids or livestock breeders), are sent on unpaid leave for two weeks. There is already a schedule in the office.

Agricultural workers worry about their salary will allso decrease: "It is told that in January we will be paid out the minimum - Br2.1 million. Rumor has it that it may be paid out with products. But what should we dress up our children for? There is no more place to work at".

The SPK "Dembrovo" agree that there is no money. However, they believe it is a temporary phenomenon.

- We provide with an additional day off only those involved in machine maintenance: machine operators and drivers as there is no money for spare parts, Yury Sakuta, the chief agronomist SPK "Dembrovo" said. - Those engaged in animal husbandry are working. Only mid- and main-level specialists are sent on unpaid leave for two weeks. This situation will last for two or three weeks, then, I hope, everything will be resolved, and sowing time will start. Now we have a delivery of livestock on schedule. Our sale turnover has decreased as our regular customer cannot sale meat to Russia. We provide the creamery with milk products, but it does not make settlements.

There are no other customers, so we hope for the old ones. It has not been decided yet how salary will be paid out.

We could barely pay salary in December. We will pay out in January, if there are any sales, Yury Sakuta believes.
