Jewish cemetery violated in Babruisk
On the Jewish cemetery in Babruisk (Mahilou Area) an act of vandalism was committed – 15 graves were violated. As Leanid Rubinshtein, Babruisk Jewish community chairman said to BelaPAN, the villains not only turn down the monuments but broke some of the granitic slabs into three parts.

On October 14 the Belarusians who took part in the European March in Minsk were supported by their fellow-citizens and upholders in various European cities.

“The campaign” European March” is to go on until the Belarusian government accepts 12 EU proposals”, - Viktar Ivashkevich, the European March organizing committee head declared today on the summary press conference. According to the politician, it depends on everybody whether the next year will be a crucial one in the relations between Belarus and Europe.

On the European March’s eve Belarusian Free Theatre came from Sweden Lund where it took part in the campaign on this city getting European Capital of Culture in 2014. The Swedish audience watched with admiration the performances “Generation Jeans” and “Being Harold Pinter”, one of the performances was shown in the conditions maximally close to Belarusian underground.

The movement “For Freedom” leader Aliaksandr Milinkevich thanked Belarusians for the participation in the European March. “Dear nationals! Heartfelt thanks to everybody who once again acted especially bravely having devoted the day of 14 October to our Belarus and European choice. We have proved there are the people in Belarus who are dedicated to our Motherland and ready to defend its national interest”, - Milinkevich declared.
