UCP candidate forced to quit job

1

After participation in the “parliamentary election” the candidate of the United Democratic Party Viktar Padchynenkau was forced to write a letter of resignation from his position due to a desire to terminate his employment.

Viktar Padchynenkau was working in Hrodna at a private firm “NewTonMebel” JSC as a carpenter and joiner for this firm,” he told to the ucpb.org. “In connection with the election campaign I was told by the district commission that I must write an application and ask a leave. I returned to my working place yesterday, and the co-owner of the firm said: “You should write a letter of resignation from my position due to a desire to terminate the employment. We do not want to quarrel with you, so better resign yourself”.

As said by Viktar Padchynenkau, the chief said that law-enforcers visited the enterprise. “I tried to find out what particular agency visited them, police, or the KGB,” the candidate noted. And the chief said: “That doesn’t matter. They came and asked to fire you. We explained that we do not have grounds to fire you, you work good, without any violations of the labour code, and you were in a leave then.” “Well, then made him write a letter of resignation from the position due to a desire to terminate his employment.”

“After this long conversation I understood that people may have problems because of me,” Viktar said. “And I wrote an application and asked to quit. In the talk-show “Vybor” (“Choice”) one of the elected “deputies” said that a politician does not feel aggravated, he takes revenge. in all appearances, the revenge of the regime has started”.
