US dollar nears 2200 Br mark at Belarusian exchange

At the close of foreign currencies trading on December 11 at the Belarusian currency stock exchange, the exchange rate of the Belarusian ruble was 2,198 Br per dollar.

As compared to the previous trading, the exchange rate has increased by 5 rubles.

Thus, when reaching the upper ceiling of the exchange-value of ruble expected in the end of the year, only 2 points are left. As we have informed, in line with the forecasted parameters the exchange rate of the US dollar shouldn’t exceed 2,200 Br, and the authorities many times stated that this index would be followed, AFN reports.

Since the beginning of this month, the Belarusian ruble has become cheaper as compared to the dollar by 35 rubles (1.6%). At exchange trading net demand for dollars (minus supply) was 297,569 mln dollars. Thus, from December 1 to 11, demand for dollars was 616,795 mln, and supply only 319,226 mln. The actual volume of transactions with dollars was 612,219 mln.

According to the Belarusian currency stock exchange, at today’s trading demand for the US currency was 74,371 mln dollars, supply – 47,888 mln dollars, the actual volume of transactions 72,764 mln.

At the close of foreign currencies trading Euro exchange rate increased by 33 rubles and was equal to 2,880 rubles per 1 Euro, exchange rate of Russian ruble was at the level of 78,69 Br per one Russian ruble.
