Who destroyed political opponents of the regime?

Salihorsk branch of the “Young Front” organized a street action on the central square dedicated to the day of Belarusian Solidarity which was marked on December 16.

The participants of the action formed a human chain and held portraits of disappeared politicians and public figures and posters “Where’re they?” and “Who destroyed political opponents of the regime?”

It should be reminded that General Yury Zakharanka, his friend, businessman and public figure Anatol Krasouski, journalist Zmitser Zavadski, and politician Viktar Hanchar disappeared in Belarus in 1999-2000. A special UN commission concluded that the Belarusian authorities were involved in liquidation of these people.
