Minsk Gets Ready for Freedom Day (Photo)

Preparation for celebration of Freedom Day, a day of declaration of the independent Belarusian People’s Republic, is underway in the capital of Belarus.

Hundreds of stickers with national and European flags and a call to gather on Yakub Kolas Square at 6 p.m. are pasted around the city. They have emerged in dormitory suburbs and in the central streets of the city.

Manu busy spots of Minsk are decorated by blue ribbons, symbols of the European choice of Belarus.
