Political prisoner Parsyukevich gasps from asthma in prison cell

Lawyer Vera Stramkouskaya attended in the Minsk pretrial detention center Syarhei Parsyukevuch, activist of the entrepreneurs’ movement, on 10 April.
According to her, Sayrhei Parsyukevich made a complaint against extension of his term in the detention center till 30 April. It was decided by Uladzimir Audzeenka, judge of the Maskouski district court of Minsk, who will try the case.
What is the information about Syarhei Parsyukevich’s health, whose asthma has aggravated in the detention center?
“He feels bad. The weather has become warm, it is even hot in the cell, he has problems with breathing. He needs special medicines. It’s good that he has finally received them. He asked to say his thanks for it,” the lawyer said to Radio Svaboda.
Syarhei Parsyukevich shares a cell with 12 people, though it is designed for 10 persons.
The entrepreneur was accused of beating up of a prison guard in the detention center on Akrestin Street. But Syarhei Parsyukevich himself says indeed he was beaten up by militiamen. He faces up to 6 years of imprisonment. Date of trial hasn’t been appointed yet.
