Ultimatum delivered to regime: opposition in election commissions or boycott

Democrats of Homel region have demanded to include all pro-democracy representatives to district commissions and to register all persons nominated by democratic forces as candidates.

Only under such conditions oppositions of the region will continue participation in the “parliamentary elections”. Otherwise representatives of the democratic forces of Homel region promise to withdraw their candidates from the “election”. This resolution has been adopted by the coordinating council of the United democratic Forces (Homel region).

It is planned to nominate about 200 persons to election commissions of the region. The total number of election commissions’ members is 1000.
