Calls for early voting

On September 4, Vitsebsk region newspaper “Narodnaye Slova) (founded by the Vitsebsk region Council of Deputies and the region executive committee) called on the electorate to vote early from September 23 to 27.
Another regional newspaper, “Vitsebski Rabochy” (founded by the Vitsebsk region executive committee), also called for early voting in its 102nd issue on September 4.
The regional radio calls for early voting without giving any reasons, the campaign “Human Rights Activists for Free Election” reports.
On September 2, calls for early voting could be heard at an enlarged sitting of the veterans of the region, pro-presidential associations of the Communist Party of Belarus, White Russia, Belarusian Republican Youth Union (BRSM), trade unions, association of former minor prisoners, the Belarusian Peace Foundation. It is a broad layer of electorate, only the veterans amount to 350.000 in the region.
