Sheiman appointed ambassador-at-large

Viktar Sheiman, former state secretary of the Security Council, works as an ambassador-at-large.

“Narodnaya Volya” newspaper has learnt it from Vikenti Klyuchnik, press secretary of the Security Council.

According to Klyuchnik, Sheiman has his office in the building of the President’s Administration (K. Marx Str. 38). As other aides, he goes to work every day.

Viketsi Klyuchnik didn’t say what particular duties Sheiman performs. Besides, Viktar Sheiman is still responsible for relations with Venezuela.

It should be reminded that Alyaksandr Lukashenka removed Viktar Sheiman from the office of state secretary of the Security Council after a blast in Minsk on Independence Day.

The international community suspects Viktar Sheiman and other high ranking Belarusian officials in kidnapping and murders of Belarusian opposition leaders and a journalist. He is banned entry to the EU countries.
