Youth union “Our Ukraine” protests against unlawful call-up of Belarusian oppositionists (Photo)

Youth union “Our Ukraine” held a picket near Belarus’s embassy in Kyiv demanding to stop political repressions against civil activists in Belarus.

A ground for the protest action was unlawful call-up of Franak Vyachorka, leader of “The Youth of BPF”.

“Franak Vyachorka was found unfit for military service due to problems with health. Despites, the regime of Lukashenka is trying to go all out to get rid of young independent politicians, engaged in public activities. So, BPF activist from Homel Zmitser Zhaleznichenka, Vital Kharatysh, and leader of “The Youth of BPF” Ales Kalita were drafted into army. Secret services were involved in this process, they detained the activists, guarded them to military enlistment offices and military hospitals, where their medical diagnoses were changed.”
