Franajk Vyachorka put in military hospital

Today policemen detained the leader of “Moladz BNF) youth organisation Franak Vyachorka in Rakau. They took him to the military enlistment office in Savetski district in Minsk. Later Franak was placed to the military hospital.

Franak Vyachorka called to Radio Svaboda from a police car on their way from the town of Rakau, Vlaozhyn district, to the military enlistment office of Savetski district of Minsk. He said that two policemen burst into a private house of his friend, and demanded everyone to show passports:

“Policemen burst into a private house in the town of Rakau where I was visiting my friend. Without a search warrant they pushed away the owner of the house and detained my under an arrest warrant and took me to the military enlistment office. One of the policemen, a deputy chairman of Minsk city police, Mr Achapouski, answered to the question whether the town of Rakau is under the responsibility of Minsk city police: they had an order, and they fulfilled it,” the oppositionist said.

Franak Vyachorka explained that he hadn’t been sent any summons from the military enlistment office previously. The activist reminded that on December 22 he was forcibly detained and taken to the military enlistment office too. Franak said that he challenged these actions in the prosecutor;s office of Savetski district, and planned to challenge today police actions who burst into the private apartment, too.

Then the mobile phone of Franak was not answering. The head of the draft department of Savetski district enlistment office captain Bykau refused to explain reasons of forcible taking the young man to the military enlistment office.
