Photographers of world famous media not accredited for EAEC summit in Minsk

9

Photographers of news agencies Associated Press, France Presse, Reuters and Belarusian newspaper “Nasha Niva” were not accredited.

As website charter97.org learnt from journalists, they were told that it wouldn’t be enough place for them in the national Library in Minsk, where the session of the interstate council of the Eurasian Economic Community represented by heads of state would take place. Belarusian organizers say the number of accreditations is reduced, because a lot of journalists from Russia and Kazakhstan are expected.

Photo correspondents of Associated Press, France Presse, Reuters from Russia and Kazakhstan won’t arrive in Minsk, so these news agencies won’t get photos from the summit.

The journalists are indignant about the situation. According to them, the National Library used to host events where not three but twelve CIS presidents took part and there was enough place for everyone.

We remind that the session of the interstate council of the Eurasian Economic Community is to be held in Minsk on November 27. Presidents of Russia, Belarus, and Kazakhstan wil sign documents launching the Customs Union.
