Zmitser Khvedaruk threatened for speaking Belarusian

Major Uladzimir Kisel, army doctor in military unit #18662 in Zhodzina, refused to examine forcefully drafted “Young Front” activist Zmitser Khvedaruk.
Radio Svaboda has learnt this from leaders of the “Young Belarus” movement Artur Finkevich.
He received a telephone call from the military unit. A witness of the incident said the major rudely demanded that Zmitser not speak Belarusian. The major told the soldiers, who where near Zmitser, to give the guy a lesson and explain him what consequences he may meet if he contuse speaking Belarusian.
It should be reminded that Zmitser Khvedaruk was detained by officers of militia and the KHG at the end of January. The young man was guarded to a military enlistment office and then to a militia department. Zmitser was said he must have been arrested for 10 days for participation in a rally, held on May 1 last year. The guy was guarded to hospital the next day, where he was forced to undergo analyses, and then was taken to a military unit in Zhodzina.
