In Minsk activists of the civil campaign “European Belarus” have distributed posters with information about arrested businessmen from Vaukavysk.

Young people pasted them in the busy spots in the centre of the city, in metro trains, as well as in the bus stops, jeans-by.com informs.

As we have informed, the arrested entrepreneur Mikalai Autukhovich continues his hunger strike since April 16. It is the 35th day. He protests against criminal prosecution and his case being in fact disregarded. Autukhovich demands either to send the case to the court or to release him under a written undertaking not to leave the place. Besides, the political prisoner demands to release Yury Lyavonau and Uladzimir Asipenka, who are involved in the case as well.

Recently it turned out that investigation in the case of Vaukavysk businessmen had been extended till June 3. Relatives of political prisoners haven’t been given a single possibility to meet with the prisoners over the 4 months.

Human rights activists consider them political prisoners, paying attention to the fact that Mikalai Autukhovich and Yury Lyavonau were convicted and found prisoners of conscience before.

On May 19 Mikalai Autukhovich was transferred from Minks remand prison #1 to the Republican prison hospital of the penal jurisdiction department of the Interior Ministry of Belarus. His health condition has declined to the state when it was impossible to keep him in the reamd prison, even in the medical unit. Hwoever, despite of the problems with lover, the political prisoner is to be transferred to the remand prison again.
