Political prisoner Mikalai Autukhovich calling to stop hunger strike of solidarity with him

Pavel Sapelka, lawyer of the arrested Vaukavysk businessman who met with Mikalai Autukhovich in the pre-trial detention center #1 at the militia department of the Minsk city executive committee, told this.
“He calls on “Young Front” activists who have gone on hunger strike in solidarity with him to finish the strike. He thanks them for support but says their health and youth are needed for further struggle for democracy,” Pavel Sapelka told Radio Svaboda.
According to the lawyer, Autukhovich is going to continue his strike till victory. “He’s lost weight even more. Bu the walked without held for the meeting,” Pavel Sapelka said.
It should be reminded that entrepreneurs Yury Lyavonau, Mikalai Autukhovich, and Uladzimir Asipenka were arrested in Vaukavysk on February 8.
Mikalai Autukhovich went on hunger strike protesting against lawlessness and arbitrary behaviour of investigative agencies. He demands to release Yury Lyavonau , Uladzimir Asipenka, and him. He has been on hunger strike for 22 days.
On May 4, political and public figures declared themselves on indefinite hunger strike in solidarity with Mikalai Autukhovich. Famous political and public figures in Belarus and abroad are taking part in hunger strike. Among the strikers are former presidential candidate Alyaksandr Kazulin, leader of the BPF party Lyavon Barshcheuski, former political prisoners Andrei Kim, Mikalai Statkevich, Syarhei Skrabets, leader of the coordinative council of entrepreneurs Alyaksandr Makaeu.
Activists Nasta Palazhanka, Mikola Dzyamidzenka, Andrei Tsyanyuta, Artsyom Dubski, Yauhen Skrabets, Hleb Snorkin, and Iryna Hubskaya are on indefinite hunger strike in the BPF headquarters in Minsk.
