The website www.charter97.org learnt this from its readers from Poland, who sent us pictures.
The concert took place in Polish Katowice on August 6. U2 have their world tour in support of the band’s new album No Line on the Horizon.
The Irish rock musicians called on their fans to join their action in support of Aung San Suu Kyi, the leader of the Burmese opposition kept under house arrest for along time.
U2 dedicated the song Walk On to the famous human rights activists and play it at all their concerns. It is also a compulsory song at their 360 Tour. The musicians ask their fans to bring portraits of Aung San Suu Kyi to concerts for a better effect.
U2 tour will last to October and end in Canadian Vancouver. The tour covers Spain, Germany, the UK, Italy, France, the Netherlands, Sweden, Poland, Croatia, the US, and Canada.
