Actions of solidarity with Belarusian political prisoners in Ukraine (Photo)

Actions to support the arrested “Young Front” activist will be held in 13 regions of Ukraine.

The event was initiated by the National Alliance, a Ukrainian youth organization. Youth activists formed a human chain on Theatre square with portraits of arrested participant of the Process of 14 Artsyom Dubski. As Radio Racyja reports, the young people were also holding a national Belarusian white-red-white flag. The picket started at 00.30 noon and lasted for 30 minutes.

The National Alliance initiated holding a number of pickets in support of political prisoner Artsyom Dubski in 13 regions of Ukraine.

We remind that “Young Front” Activist Artsyom Dubski was sentenced to a year of imprisonment in a minimum security colony for violation of the rules of serving punishment in the Case of 14.

The Case of 14 is a criminal case under article 342 of the Criminal Code of Belarus, instigated against participants of a peaceful rally of entrepreneurs held in Minsk on January 10, 2008.

14 youth activists were sentenced to different terms of restriction of liberty and imprisonment for participation in this rally. Amnesty International recognized participants of the Process of 14 Prisoners of Conscience in 2009.
