Police Lieutenant Colonel Mikalai Kazlou: “I am ready to give evidence”

A former policeman, who sounded facts of rigging vote count results in the election, is ready to give evidence in case of legal proceedings opened.
On Monday Mikalai Kazlou and the leader of the United Civil Party Anatoly Lyabedzka gave a press-conference. The fact is that two years ago rigging was detected exactly in Staravilenski precinct, where Lyabedzka ran, “Nasha Niva” writes.
“This person is an example of courage for me,” Anatol Lyabedzka opened the press-conference.
The chairman of the United Civil Party reminded that he made an inquiry to the General Prosecutor’s Office concerning rigging election results, which had been stated also by Alyaksandr Lukashenka and Kanstantsin Sumar.
“The answer was, that either incompetent persons or liars said so. Mikalai Kazlou said that ballot fraud had taken place in favour of the regime. We are to make the choice, who is telling the truth,” the politician said.
Besides, now Lyabedzka is preparing an address to the deputy of the “chamber of representatives” Samasejka, who had been elected in Staravilenski precinct. The head of the UCP is convinced that in any country after such a scandal a “MP” should go out of office at least temporarily.
It was not a usual thing for a former policeman to give a press-conference. He said that he came there for no one to think that he goes back on his word.
“I expected that the prosecutor’s office would carry out some investigation. And now I see that a new election starts, but nothing is changed. I even think that the same persons would take their seats in the election commissions. It is nit right. It is not connected to me personally only, it concerns many people, and I would like justice to triumph finally. I am going to give evidence if investigation started by someone,” Mikalai Kazlou said.
Why Kazlou has had the courage for that? “There are some more important issues. I want justice. Many colleagues and friends have called me to express support,” the policeman said.
