Places of work of Minsk district commission members “declassified”

Earlier the website of Minsk district executive committee showed only the list of members of the district commission.

Now one can see that on the list of the district commission six persons out of thirteen are workers of different departments of the district executive committee, from social to ideology ones, including the persons nominated through collection of signatures from citizens. Besides, the commission includes one director of a sporting institution, two experts from the management of district medical institutions, two teachers (deputy director of a lyceum and a trade union leader) and two leaders of pro-regime public associations of the district: of a war veteran organization and the Belarusian Youth Union, “Human Rights Activists” inform.

Minsk district authorities have not become an example for the city authorities of Minsk in openness of information. The website of Minsk city executive committee still does not disclose places of work of the members of territorial election commissions. Such information protection of the city’s authorities conveys the suggestion that probably placemen of the presidential vertical of power play a greater role and influence the process of will expression more than it happens in Minks district.
