Russian observers, who will watch the course of the presidential election in Belarus, will give their evaluation to the course of the voting and its results.
It was said to ITAR-TASS News Agency by the source in Administration of the President of Russia.
“The work of Russian observers will be the most adequate evaluation of the elections of the President of Belarus”, - the source said. Presidential election in Belarus is set for December, 19, 2010.
The statement that Russian observers will evaluate the course of the election was made after the president of Russia Dmitry Medvedev spoke with a sharp critic of the actions of his Belarusian colleague Alyaksandr Lukashenka. Medvedev placed in his video blog the address in which he condemned the Belarusian leader for anti Russian rhetoric.
The Head of RF noted that the statements directed against Russian government and methods of its work affect the relationship of the two countries. At the same time Medvedev expressed his confidence that “the senseless stripe of tension” between Russia and Belarus “will surely be over”.
Press Secretary of Medvedev Natalya Timakova spoke with the evaluation of the Russian-Belarusian relations shortly after the updates in the President’s video blog. She stated that the relationship of the two countries reached a deadlock. Timakova called Lukashenka a person responsible for the appearance of the tension between Russia and Belarus. Press secretary of Medvedev underlined that the Belarusian leader – as presidents of other countries – should not interfere into the internal affairs of Russia.
