The conditions of signature collection in Belarus are unequal (Photo)

In the town Zhodzina the activity of initiative groups of the applicants for candidates is widening.

Thus, the pickets for signature collection have been working for three days: for the leader of the civil campaign “European Belarus” Andrei Sannikov, for the representative of the United Civil Party of Belarus Yaraslau Ramanchuk and the leader of “Tell the Truth» campaign Uladzimir Nyaklyaeu. Pickets are held near the former shop №33 in Gagarin Street, which is situated on a convenient way to the Production Association “Rassvet”. Here one can meet signatures collectors for the candidature of Alyaksandr Mikhalevich.

As “Human Rights Defenders for Free Elections” reports, there were no pickets for collection of signatures for other candidates noticed in the town. The observers of Zhodzina note a typical-for the-signature-collection behavior of citizens. People stop, look closely at information materials, ask questions, and sign. Some people, while passing by, generally, elderly people, express aloud their discontent with the fact that someone dared to create competitiveness and candidate for the high post of the President of the country. And some people express their pessimism concerning the reality of voices counting.

Some people express their offence that some pretenders are put into unequal conditions, and they are actually made signing for the candidature of Alyaksandr Lukashenka. Thus, one of the workers of BelAZ who was planning a vacation was faced with the ultimatum of his management. It was said that “you will not get your vacation pay until you affix your signature, where it is needed”.

One of the employees of the Information Systems Administration of BelAZ, which counts about 90 people, informed that the management ordered the workers to bring passports with them on October, 6. This necessity was explained by the Chairman of Trade Union Committee Yalena Kazak saying that the initiative group of Alyaksandr Lukashenka will come to meet the working staff with the aim of signatures collection. The employee of the Information Systems Administration noted that he can not risk and demonstratively reject the suggestion of his management, as he “has to bring up his grand children somehow”. And he, working on contract, “is afraid of losing his job before the pension”.
