Observers were shown the door

17

Under the ground of sultriness in the room for voting the head of the election commission turned the observers out of doors.

On the eve of the current presidential elections the Central Election Commission arranged trainings on their realization and gave methodic recommendations what and how should go and how to act in various situations, “Narodnaya Volya” writes.

As to the observers, supposedly there was an instruction to give them an opportunity to see the whole elections process, up to the vote count.

The first day of the early voting elicited that everyone has understood these recommendations in his own way. In Baranavichy observers were at all given seats behind the door. And they could only see what the doorway let them to.

The member of BPC Viktar Tsyapin has described the incident in detail in his Internet blog.

“There were 183 people in total who have voted at our polling station within the day, - this exceeds by more than ten times the activity of the voters at other polling stations where our observers are present. For the period of early voting the polling station was placed in an evidently undersized room. In the end of the day, under the obviously unsubstantial ground of sultriness in the room, she turned us out of doors, from the room where the ballot box and the election commission were, to the corridor. The head of the commission Bahdanovich has ignored my protest”, Viktar Tsyapin stated.
