Jude Low: «Live Belarus!» (Video)

A British actor, Jude Law, appealed to the Belarusians within the scope of Global Artistic Solidarity Campaign.

Jude Law is a famous British cinema and theater actor. His first big success in cinema is considered to be the Anthony Mingella's movie, «The talented Mr. Ripley», where Jude shared the scene with Matt Damon and Gwineth Paltrow. Although two years earlier in 1997 he brilliantly let himself to be known acting a paralyzed disabled role in the science fiction thriller, “Gattaka”, where his partners were Uma Turman and Ethan Hawk.

Further career of Jude Law became clearly prominent – he got the main roles in Jean-Jacque Anno's “Enemy at the gates”, produced by Stephen Spielberg “Artificial intellect”, Sam Mendes's drama “Damned Path”, in which Jude's partners were Paul Newman and Tom Hanks. In 2003 Anthony Mingella offered Jude Law a new project which turned out a triumph for Jude – the “Cold mountain” in which Jude acted together with Nicole Kidman and Renee Zelweger. Then there were “Detective”, “All King's men”, “Closeness”, “Sky Captain and the world of future”. Jude's partners were such Hollywood stars as Dustin Hoffman, Angelina Jolie, Susan Sarandon, Sienna Miller, Sean Penn, Keith Winslett, Natalie Portman, Clive Owen, Juliette Binosh...

The latest movie role of Jude Law was “Sherlock Holmes” directed by Guy Richie where Law acted Dr. Watson becoming a partner of Robert Downey Jr. At the moment Jude is working on the second part of the movie.

For the movies “Cold Mountain”, “Artificial intellect” and “The Talented Mr. Ripley” Jude Law was twice nominated for the Oscar, thrice for the Golden Globe and received the BAFTA award as well. All in all Jude was nominated for different cinema and theater awards for 32 times and received prestigious awards 7 times.
