Officers of court accompanied by a militia major visited Hrodna-based firm Polonika today.

The major was waiting outside the door, but an officer of court invited him to the office, when the firm staff had expressed protest against making photos in the office, Radio Svaboda informs.

Visitors, who came to receive touristic and visa services, were also waiting outside the door in a queue.

Deputy director on economy Myachyslau Yaskevich noted:

“They are to have documents saying the officers of court carry out an examination on the ground of a court decision. We also should have this document. The firm leadership has left. The militia and officers of court come to us, demand to show documents. An officer of court takes photos, we disagree with her actions, we don’t wan to be taken pictures. We say we are working, visitors come to us and express their dissatisfaction.”

It became known some days ago that Polonika’s bank account had been frozen, as the firm had been fined 71 million rubles. The court decided that the firm should have executed money received from Wspolnota Polska as humanitarian aid.

Polonika is run by Andzelika Borys, the leader of the unregistered Union of Poles, which carries out cultural and educational activities through the firm.

As Radio Racyja reports, the officers of court attached monitors, computers, furniture, and other equipment. They also wanted to attach the property, which is owned by General Consulate of Poland in Hronda, according to a contract. The accountant refused to show the documents as the firm leadership wasn’t there at the moment.
