Presidential candidate Andrei Sannikov sent a letter to his mother from the KGB jail.

, but she seems not to receive mail. I am happy to hear that you enjoyed time with Kostya (Sannikov’s elder son – notice by charter97.org) and his family. Do Danik and Vera get along with each other? Glad to receive a parcel from Kostya. I like everything you pass to me. Send my best regards to all. I miss everybody. I recollect how shortly before the arrest Danik used to come to me and say, ‘Dad, I love you so much!’ emphasizing the last two words…
