KGB celebrates Freedom Day together with opposition

Freedom Day, March 25 has started for pro=democracy activist by a visit of KGB officers and police.
At about 6.30 a.m. policemen came to the place of Syarhei Paulyukevich, who had served a 10-days arrest for participation in the rally on December 19. The young man managed to send a text message: “Police has arrived. They are arresting me. They allegedly have questions for me.” The message was received at 6.49 a.m. Now Syarhei does not answer mobile phone calls. Syarhei Paulyukevich is an administrator of a community “We are for Great Belarus” in the social network vkontakte.ru.
An activist of “Tell the truth!” Leanid Autukhou from Haradok is stalked by police. He noticed a car with policemen in front of his house on March 24. Several policemen in turns in different cars were waiting for him all night long. And on March 25 a KGB investigator came to have a conversation with him.
On March 24 Leanid Autukhou was also asked not to take part in the rally in Minsk or Vitsebsk by the chief of the local district police department, Radio Svaboda informs.
Criminal Investigation officers are trying to enter the flat of a pro-democracy activist Aleh Ladutska. His mother does not open the door, “Vyasna” human rights centre informs.
At 8.30 a.m. Criminal Investigation department officers in Minsk tried to enter the flat where an activist Uladzimir Valodzin lives.
At 8 a.m. police came to Hanna Sharuba. An activist of “Young Front” informs that several policemen tried to break an entry into her flat. They wanted “have a chat” with her. Now they are standing near the entrance of the house.
Since morning Criminal Investigation department officers are forcing the door of Franak Vyachorka. Since early morning policemen were watching near Minsk flat of Vyachorka. “Since 6.30 a.m. policemen are watching outside our door, they are trying to break an entry, they demand to let them in, saying they want to search the flat. One of the policemen is holding some document in his hands.” “They do not need my father, they need me,” Franak Vyachorka said to Radio Svaboda in a live broadcast.
At 8.40 a.m. a 13-year-old Ruzhana Vyachorka, a sister of Franak Vyachorka, was detained. She was interrogated. She was asked about her brother. “Men who presented themselves as officers of criminal investigation, arrested my 13-year-old sister Ruzhana and questioned about me,” Vranak Vyachorka wrote on twitter.
At 7.15 a.m. policemen came to the flat belonging to the parents of “European Belarus” activist Pavel Yukhnevich. The activist was not there.
Social networks are abundant in reports about preventive arrests and attempts to break entry into flats. Police tried to force entry into the flat of “European Belarus” activist Maxim Vinyarski.
The authorities’ fear has not subsided.
