Alla Sannikova: “My son’s state of health is concealed from me”

On March 9 Andrei Sannikov’s mother tried to pass food parcel for her son to the KGB jail.

“Part of the food products which had been allowed to bring to him previously, were not taken this time for some reason,” Alla Sannikova said to Radio Svaboda.

“This time not everything was taken from me again, and again I was told to bring quark to him. As far as I understand, his health has deteriorated again. He probably has liver or stomach problems. No one tells me anything.”

Meetings of relatives of inmates with doctors are not provided for in the KGB jail, that is why there is no opportunity to receive information about state of health of a prisoner of Amerikanka. The administration of the KGB detention centre refers relatives to lawyers, but most inmates are not given confidential meetings with lawyers.
