Marek Migalski: I applaud the courage of Zmitser Bandarenka

MEP Marek Migalski sent a letter to the family of political prisoner Zmitser Bandarenka.

The wife and daughter if coordinator of European Belarus civil campaign Zmitser Bandarenka, who was sentenced to 2 years in a penal colony on a far-fetched accusation, received a letter from a Polish member of the European Parliament. In his letter, Marek Migalski assures the political prisoner’s family that he will try to remind the Polish and European society about Zmitser and draw attention to the situation with him and other Belarusian political prisoners.

“I would like to assure you of my support. I will constantly inform you about my actions and initiative relating to Zmitser,” the Polish politician writes.

We remind that Marek Migalski, a Polish MEP and a member of the EP delegation for relations with Belarus, took over a prisoner’s godparenthood for Zmitser Bandarenka, an initiative of human rights organisation Libereco - Partnership for Human Rights to support the prisoners and their relatives.
