Belarusian security services use phishing

National telecommunications operator Beltelecom organized a phishing attack during the action “Revolution through social networks”.

Everyone who tried to open the page of the action from Belarus was automatically redirected to a fake page (be careful, it may be infected. A screenshot is available here).

This information was confirmed by numerous users.

It is not the first time when the Belarusian security services act like criminals. The Charter’97 website has been under a DDoS attack, preceded by a virus attack on Belarusian users, for the third week. Users were redirected to a fake infected site by Beltelecom. The same occurred on the election day, when all users from Belarus who tried to load independent news websites were redirected to spoof sites.
