Statkevich’s passport lost in KGB

The passport of political prisoner Mikalai Statkevich has been lost.

On June 27, Maryna Adamovich visited the Shklou penal colony, where he husband was transferred. Statkevich cannot be considered a prisoner of the colony until his cassation appeal is not heard, that’s permission to see him is given not by prison administration, but by the judge. Judge Lyudmila Hrachova did not allow Maryna Adamovich to have a meeting with Statkevich.

According to Maryna Adamovich, Statkevich faced a new problem – his passport was lost, Radio Svaboda reports.

The passport might have been left in the KGB, the wife of the political prisoner supposes.

Presidential candidate Mikalai Statkevich was sentenced to 6 years in a medium security penal colony.
