BPF party forcefully evicted from premises

The BPF part has received an official court ruling on forceful eviction from the premises on July 26.

Interfax-Zapad news agency learnt this from BPF deputy chair Ryhor Kastusyou.

“We received a notice that all our branches will be forcefully evicted from the premises at 10 am on June 26. The notice refers to an order to Savetski district police chief to provide the forceful eviction,” Kastusyou said.

The BPF deputy chair said the party had organized a farewell event the day before and promised a “little surprise” to the authorities. Speaking about protests against the eviction, protection of the office, which was planned before, Kastusyou said the party “has different variants”. “The main thing is that we have already won a moral victory – we made the government to show everyone its anti-national nature,” the politician said.

The BPF deputy head said the party had an “alternative plan”, but declined to say the location of the future office “not to speak too soon”.

The utility services of the Savetski district of Minsk filed a lawsuit to evict the party from the premises on pretext of systematically unpaid bills. The BPF claims these accusations have no grounds because the party has paid all bills during the last few years. The rental period expired in March 2011, but a new rent contract was not signed in spite of promises of the utility services office.
