Picket at Belarusian Embassy in Lithuania to support Bandarenka (Photo)

Activists of European Belarus and Tell the Truth civil campaigns picketed the Embassy of Belarus in Vilnius with portraits of the political prisoner in their hands.

Picketers called on the Belarusian authorities to render proper medical aid to Zmitser Bandarenka, who had a spine surgery today. In two weeks, he will be sent to the penal colony to serve his two-year term for participating in protests against the rigged presidential elections. Rehabilitation after such operations usually takes about three months.
